Woodland Grange Primary School New Computer Suite

At the beginning of the Autumn term 2002 we opened our new computer suite.

With the building of our new hall we were able to convert the kitchen of our old hall into this state of the art facility thanks to the support from our school community through the Friends of Woodland Grange.

Our suite houses 18 Pentium 4 RM Windowbox PCs running Windows XP. This brings the total number of PCs in school to 51.
The suite is also home to two Hewlett Packard colour laser printers, an interactive whiteboard, two scanners, video conferencing and digital photography equipment.

All our computers in the school building are networked through a server which enables our children to access the internet and their own work areas and files from anywhere in school.

The suite is timetabled for class use during the day, club use at lunchtime, staff training and administration after school and there are plans to extend the facilty to community evening use in the near future.

As a Centre of Excellence we also use our suite and staff to host and lead seminars and staff training for teachers from other schools.
