Woodland Grange Primary School Cross Country 2006/07

Another unbelievable season! At the Mid-Leicestershire Area Championships held at Leysland High School in March, Woodland Grange dominated, particularly in the girls' events.

The Year 5 girls saw Woodland Grange taking 8 of the top 10 places through Hannah (1st), Georgia(2nd), Yasmin(3rd), Alix(4th), Holly(5th), Helena(6th), Louise(9th) and Lauren(10th) and claiming the shield with the best possible score! Hannah, Georgia, Yasmin, Alix, Holly, Helena and Louise were then selected to represent Mid-Leicestershire at the County Championships where Hannah claimed 3rd place and Mid-Leicestershire won the overall title.
Also selected to represent Mid-Leicestershire were Niamh (Year 4) and Jack (Year 4).

Congratulations also to all our Year 3, 4 and Year 5 athletes who competed in the country's largest schools' cross country event - The Leicestershire Primary School Cross Country League at Western Park.

What a season! The final race in December saw fantastic performances all round. Individual medals went to Hannah and Georgia in Year 5 and, for the second year running, the Year 5 Girls won the championship! Well done all.
