Woodland Grange Primary School Eid Assemby 2005!

We enjoyed an assembly by children with help from parents to celebrate Eid. The assembly included poetry, drama and singing.

Eid ul-Fitr is an Islamic holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting.

The Eid festivities and merriment start after prayers with visits to the homes of friends and relatives and thanking the Creator for all blessings.

We were joined by Sheik Moghra, a local Iman, who spoke to the children about the festival and about the importance of respect for all our beliefs.
