Woodland Grange Primary School IWB Project

Woodland Grange has been selected to participate in the Leicestershire Interactive Whiteboard Project.

Through this project the LEA are funding the installation of 8 IWBs, data projectors and sound systems, one in each Key Stage 2 class. We are funding the installation of an additional 5, one in each Year 2 and Year 1 class. This will bring the total number in school to 15 as we already have 1 in the IT suite and 1 in the Library. We will have the largest Primary installation of such new technology in the County. The installation is to take place in June/July 2004.

The staff have significant experience already with this technology but wiil receive further training as part of the project.

The staff have set up a new website dedicated to our work on this project where we will host the many teaching and learning resources we develop, share our knowledge and expertise and offer advice and support to other schools looking to use new technology to raise standards. The website is at www.iwb.org.uk and will be launched in September 2004.
