Woodland Grange Primary School NAACE Award

We are the first Leicestershire school to be awarded the coveted NAACEmark, presented to Mr Smyton at the BETT show at Olympia in London in January 2004!

The NAACEmark has been developed by NAACE (National Association of Advisors for Computers in Education), in association with Becta (British Educational Communications and Technology Agency). It is an award which recognises our school's success in developing and implementing a strategic approach to ICT. Gaining the NAACEmark enables us to move forward with the knowledge that we are implementing recognised good practice.

The aim of NAACEmark for Schools is to:

  • promote the importance of ICT to the curriculum
  • improve the effective use of ICT to teaching and learning
  • promote quality provision in the teaching of ICT
  • improve the use of ICT as a management tool to enhance provision and communication
  • disseminate good practice

NAACE believe that a whole school approach to the development of teaching and learning of and with ICT will result in greater school effectiveness and lead to overall school improvement.
