Woodland Grange Primary School Around the World in 80 Days!

Around The World in 80 Days was the title of our Postcard Project.

Whilst chatting via e-mail to a school in America (Mrs Licitra at Switlik School) we learnt that they were keen to send and receive postcards to and from other schools around the world. We thought that this was a lovely idea as it would enable us to find out about a whole variety of places and to tell other children across the world about Leicestershire in the UK.

We, together with other schools, formed a mailing list..a list of approximately 120 schools from all over the world each of which sent a postcard to each other.

Our intention was to send and receive at least 80 postcards within 80 days ~hence the title of our project! And the outcome.......WE DID!!

We displayed them all in our area around a map of the world.
