Woodland Grange Primary School Road Safety Champions
2006!

Every year the children are taught about keeping safe on
the roads, and the older children have cycling safety lessons.
Leicestershire County Council tested Year 5 children in
the county's schools on their road safety knowledge.
The schools with the best scores were invited to send a
team to compete for the title of Road Safety Champions.
Woodland
Grange scored highly and so sent a team of James, Umar,
Harry, Pavit and Sagar to compete in the final against teams
from Ravenhurst, Stafford Leys and St Pauls.
In a tense and exciting competition with rounds based upon
Question of Sport and University Challenge with picture
questions and buzzer questions it came down to the final
buzzer question...........and thanks to Pavit's quick fingers
and correct answer Woodland Grange took the title with a
score of 63 points, just 1 ahead of Stafford Leys. Well
done team!
