Woodland Grange Primary School Space Week

During the week beginning the 7th April we abandoned the regular curriculum in favour of a themed week on Space.

The week kicked off with an assembly by Miss Butcher which took us on a journey through the solar system she used music and pictures on Power Point to make us feel like we were really there.

3..2..1...BLAST OFF!

All our work this week has been to do with Space.

We have: written alien stories and Space poems, done Space maths, Space drama, built Space Stations with the PE apparatus, fired rockets, built models and landcapes, created interactive slideshows on the computer, surfed the Internet and CDROMs and used the library to find out facts, sewn alien puppets, made space board games and lots lots more.

We will add lots of our work to this page for you to see. In the meantime why not enjoy the photos of our class models: click on the links on the left of this page. These were made during the week as entries to a competition devised by our School Council and are on display in our library.

The winners were Miss Chadwick's class, Mrs Reid's class and Miss Hitching's class....why not vote for your favourite?
