Woodland Grange Primary School Vaisakhi Assemby 2005!

We had a terrific whole school assembly to celebrate Vaisakhi. Vaisakhi is one of the most important dates in the Sikh calendar. It is the Sikh New Year festival and is celebrated on April 13 or 14. It also commemorates 1699, the year Sikhism was born as a collective faith. We had the story of the Guru Gobind Singh and the Panj Piare and information about the five K's. We then a wonderful show with music and dance.
