Woodland Grange Primary School Yahoo Website Award 2006

The WoodlandWideWeb has beaten off challenges from NASA, the National Geological Society, YouGov and American TV Station PBS to be awarded the title of Yahoo Educational Website of the Year! Our website was shortlisted by members of the public and then finally selected by a panel of esteemed judges.

The judges praised the diverse and interactive nature of our site and the way in which our whole school community is involved in the use and development of our site. Our success triggered enormous media interest and we became real celebrities for a short while. Above you can see our interview with BBC Radio and on the left and below you can see us being filmed by the BBC.

We were also filmed by ITV, interviewed by numerous newspapers, including the Daily Mail, The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Times and conducted live interviews on BBC Radio 5, Radio Wales, Saga Radio and the BBC Asian Network. We were also featured on the Richard Hammond show. On the left you can see links to many reports online.
